Welcome

Kosciusko County, Indiana has 103 lakes, including the state’s largest natural lake, Lake Wawasee, near Syracuse. Also located here is Mentone, the egg capital of the world. Warsaw is also known as the “Orthopedics Capital of the World.”  It is home for the corporate headquarters of Zimmer, DePuy, and Biomet. Little Crow Foods (maker of Cocoa Wheats) and Da-Lite Screen Company (the world’s largest producer of projection screens) are also located here.

United Way of Kosciusko County has also grown with the community.  Today, United Way of Kosciusko County is more than just a fundraiser.  With the annual campaign currently at $1,634,106, the direction is to focus on community issues.  Current funding of the programs helps to assist residents with life maintenance issues.  In addition, a 4Community Collaboration is working on the topic of illegal drugs and substance abuse to improve the community.  The 211 information and referral is another program that United Way of Kosciusko County supports.
